The product is in stock, so why is it a Special Order?

Our suppliers report their current stock status to us on a daily basis (with a few exceptions) but some of them require a minimum purchase from us before they’ll ship the order to us without adding shipping charges, which we would then have to pass on to our customers in order to operate a profitable business.

What the Special Order tag is telling you is that the product you’re ordering has been reported in stock by our supplier, but that it will take us 1-6 weeks on average to bundle enough orders for that supplier to give us free shipping. We save, so you save. It just takes a bit longer to receive your product.
