If you are located in the Greater Seattle/Tacoma area your least expensive option for a large item order is to pick it up at our Port Orchard, Washington store. We offer a 5% discount on the purchase price (in addition to any other discounts you may be entitled to) when you choose this option. Please be aware that we have very limited storage space in-store and for this reason it will be necessary for you to pick up your order within 48 hours of its arrival or to pay additional fees for off-site storage. Storage fees depend on the amount of space required and are determined on a case-by-case basis.
LTL (Less-Than-Load) Freight services are available (starting as low as $199.99) for items that are too large to ship by conventional carriers such as the postal service, UPS, FedEx and others that deliver small packages to your home or office. You will be charged a flat rate of $199.99 for shipping at checkout, however we will determine the actual cost of shipping when we receive your order and bill you separately for any difference. Remember that you can cancel your order at any time prior to fulfilment, so if the final shipping cost is more than you want to pay just let us know and we’ll cancel and refund your payment in full.
Keep in mind that shipping a single large item typically costs about the same as shipping several items on a single pallet, so if you need additional items be sure to include them in your LTL Freight order to get the best possible deal on shipping costs.
Shipping companies consider locations with a loading dock and/or forklift to be business addresses. If your delivery address fits this description then there is no additional charge. If not, the shipping company will probably charge an additional fee for transferring your order to a smaller delivery truck with a lift gate.
To avoid these additional charges, consider having us ship your order to a freight terminal near you. This type of facility is accustomed to receiving large shipments and will receive your order for you and hold it for pick up.
The most expensive option (assuming your delivery location is not equipped with a loading dock) is to have your order delivered directly to your home or place of business. Typically this will require a lift-gate and/or a fork lift (depending on the size of the order) which increases the cost of delivery significantly. Your location must be easily accessible to the delivery vehicle (typically an 18-wheel truck/trailer combination). Please note that drivers are responsible only for curbside delivery and will not bring your order inside your home or office.
